We first began with Washington. It was an eye-opener to see how he used loopholes to keep his slaves in his Northern home...move them out of the state and then back in. He knew that many folks of the time, especially in the North, disapproved of people keeping slaves but he just couldn't give them up. However, at the end of his life, Washington made the decision to free all his slaves in his 1799 will - the only slave-holding Founding Father to do so.
Then we watched Lincoln. I think we all know the basics of this man's story, but to watch it play out was really eye-opening. I was really shocked to see how much the Democrats hated Black people. I mean, they didn't even think these people had a soul! Watching this documentary actually made me cringe at the loathing the Democrats had for these Black people. The dirty politics played out by the Democrats to keep their slaves was unbelievable. And we know how the story goes...more Americans killed than in any war; the Civil War to free the slaves.
The Black community had a long, uphill battle to gain their rights, but gain it they did. And believe you me, it wasn't because the Democrats wanted to see these people succeed. The KKK wasn't created by the Republican party. The KKK was founded as a social club for former Confederate soldiers and the Klan soon morphed into a large terrorist organization, responsible for thousands of deaths, and its goal was to weaken the political power of Southern Blacks and Republicans of the time. "Across the South, the Klan and other terrorist groups used brutal violence to intimidate Republican voters. In Arkansas, over 2,000 murders were committed in connection with the election. In Georgia, the number of threats and beatings was even higher. And in Louisiana, 1000 Blacks were killed as the election neared. In those three states, Democrats won decisive victories at the polls." And this is where we can understand the true meaning of Systemic Racism, because it all begins with Systemic Politics.
I am going to rush now to our current politics and perhaps digress from time to time. No one, not even my quiet little town, has been spared from the protests and riots propagated from the death of George Floyd and the new catch phrase the Media Monsters have regurgitated ad nauseum is SYSTEMIC RACISM! Everyone is saying it! But what does that mean...exactly? Systemic: relating to a system, especially as opposed to a particular part. In the medical field one would think of certain types of cancer as systemic as it can affect the entire body and if left untreated, it has the potential to kill the body. Something that is systemic affects the whole, not simply a part. Now let us be intellectually honest regarding politics...as I mention in the paragraphs above, each political party had a SYSTEM created to move the people toward their agendas. We know people are like sheep and tend to only move when guided or even pushed in a particular direction. Average people didn't just become racist against Black people, they were guided in that direction by politics and the media.
In each political party there is Systemic Politics that affect the ENTIRE BODY and this is a crucial ideology for ANY political party, Democrat or Republican. So how then can we have Systemic Racism? Well, we really can't because either all are affected or none, that is exactly how something that is SYSTEMIC works, but we can have political systems that have deeply ingrained ideologies that form their systems, and for a political party to survive, the entire body must be systemically influenced. What we currently are witnessing, especially by the Democratic Party, is "Compassionate Racism." That is the idea that Black people must be helped, must be guided, absolutely need to be on government assistance to survive...simply due to the color of their skin. We are also being programed to believe that Black people can not control themselves, their anger, their need to riot and loot, even in their own communities. We buy into the idea that Black babies must be aborted because if they are allowed to live then they will only add to the Black poverty rate. Society is told over and over again that Black Lives Matter, but when we look at the statistics, that is just not the real agenda of the BLM movement. If this were not the case, then Black people would have gotten the memo that their lives matter and there wouldn't be such a high rate of Black on Black crime. This is simply COMMON SENSE, which is not so common anymore.
So the next time you hear someone say, “Systemic Racism”, give them a brief history lesson and explain to them SYSTEMIC POLITICS...Because if White people claim to NOT be racist and Black people claim to NOT be racist, then who is?
