You couldn’t walk through a Democrat rally without being smacked in the face with a tear-streaked ode to immigration. They practically canonized the phrase “We are a nation of immigrants.” It was their gospel. Their go-to line. Their whole moral identity wrapped up in one virtue-signaling bow.

Then came Elon Musk

An immigrant. A legal one. The man they used to fantasize about—smart, driven, wide-eyed, ready to roll up his sleeves and build something that would change the world. And boy, did he. While Jeffrey Toobin was still figuring out the difference between ‘end call’ and ‘end career, Elon was launching rockets, building electric cars, digging tunnels under cities, and lighting up the sky with internet satellites and supplying free internet to Maui after the questionable fires torched Lahaina and did the same after devastating hurricanes hit the Carolinas... He didn't just chase the American Dream—he bought the blueprint, rewired the whole thing, and handed out copies on Twitter.

But now? Suddenly, the Left wants to talk about how he was born in South Africa. Suddenly, he’s "not really an American." Funny how quickly that tune changes when the immigrant stops playing their song.
