The “Right-Wing Violence” Narrative Is a Scam, and Here’s the Proof
For the last several years, Americans have been fed a steady diet of talking points claiming that right-wing political violence is the greatest threat to domestic stability. Politicians, corporate media outlets, and intelligence officials have repeated this mantra like it’s scripture. The narrative is now so overused, it gets invoked before the facts of any high-profile incident are even known. But if you take a closer look at the poster cases used to push this line: David DePape, Vance Boelter, and the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the storyline falls apart faster than CNN’s ratings.
Let’s start with David DePape, the man who attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer. The public was told he was a MAGA-crazed extremist radicalized by conservative media. But DePape lived in a Berkeley commune, surrounded by LGBTQ flags and Black Lives Matter signs. He made hemp jewelry, dated a nudist activist, and was deeply embedded in far-left counterculture. In other words, he couldn’t have been further from the Trump base if he tried. Yet legacy media slapped a right-wing label on him within hours, based on selectively cherry-picked online posts and without a shred of genuine ideological coherence.
Next, we have Vance Boelter, the man who murdered a Minnesota politician and wounded another. Media outlets pounced on the story to push the “right-wing assassin” narrative—until the facts got in the way. Boelter wasn’t some fringe militia member or angry white nationalist hiding in the woods. He was a political appointee first selected by Democratic Governor Mark Dayton in 2016, and later reappointed by Democratic Governor Tim Walz in 2019. The man literally worked inside the Minnesota bureaucracy on workforce development boards. Even more interesting: after the killings, police found flyers in his car that read “No Kings”—a slogan not from Proud Boys meetings but from leftist, anarchist protest circles. The phrase has been used in Occupy Wall Street, Antifa, and anti-ICE rallies. That’s not a MAGA talking point. That’s Berkeley bumper sticker material. Still, media outlets twisted the event into a case of conservative political violence because facts are optional when the narrative is useful, and the Leftist media knows their dumbed-down audience won't ever fact-check them, they will simply spread the false narrative like a chain email from 2006 — copied, pasted, and forwarded without a single brain cell firing. It’s propaganda by drive-thru — served hot, fast, and fact-free because they know their audience never gets out of the car.
And then there’s the now infamous Whitmer kidnapping plot, perhaps the most damning example of narrative engineering. In 2020, federal agencies claimed to foil a terrifying right-wing plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The public panicked, the media ran with it, and the FBI took a victory lap. But later court proceedings exposed a wildly different story. At least twelve FBI agents and informants had infiltrated the small militia group, effectively making up the majority of participants. One informant, “Big Dan,” even became a leader of the group and helped organize training exercises. Another undercover agent offered to help procure bombs. It quickly became clear this wasn’t a case of stopping a dangerous plot. It was a case of helping write the plot, cast the roles, fund the logistics, then arrest the actors...and left, well, just like the fake Charlottesville "good people on both sides" narrative, the corporate media feeds their audience pre-chewed lies like cafeteria slop, knowing they’ll swallow it whole and regurgitate it on command.
Multiple defendants were acquitted because jurors saw the entire case as a classic entrapment operation. These weren’t hardened terrorists. Many were broke, mentally unstable, or just LARPing on Telegram channels. The weaponized FBI didn’t just investigate a crime; they manufactured it.
Taken together, these three incidents—DePape, Boelter, and the Whitmer “plot” don’t prove that right-wing violence is rising. They prove that the alphabet agencies, media monopolies, lawfare machines, and activist NGOs weren't just biased; they were colluding to manufacture enemies, crush dissent, and frame the truth as extremism. The facts in all three cases tell a different story; one that points not to an epidemic of right-wing violence, but to a systemic effort to bury left-wing violence and inflate anything that smells remotely conservative.
Because yes, there is violence. But it’s not symmetrical.
The political Left in America has engaged in sustained, organized, and often celebrated political violence for over a decade with media cover, prosecutorial leniency, and elite support. From $2 billion in BLM riot damage to the occupation of police precincts, the torching of courthouses, the harassment of Supreme Court justices at their homes, to firebombings of pro-life centers, none of this sparked the mass hysteria that one meme posted by a conservative can unleash.
The Right gets its most unstable loners entrapped by the FBI, then used to smear entire movements. The Left gets its arsonists turned into activists and funded by nonprofits. The Right gets pre-dawn SWAT raids. The Left gets bail funds and GoFundMes.
So no, the narrative isn’t just biased—it’s a full inversion of reality.
They tell you the Right is dangerous, so you don’t look at who’s actually holding the matchbook. They sell you a fantasy about extremist MAGA militias while their own shock troops light the country on fire with impunity. It’s not a warning about violence, it’s a blueprint for control.
The real threat is political extremism—but it's coming overwhelmingly from the Left. And it’s being enabled, excused, and weaponized by the permanent establishment: the deeply embedded network of bureaucrats, intelligence agencies, media conglomerates, donor-class institutions, and academic handlers that outlast every president and shape the narrative from above. They don’t answer to voters. They answer to each other.
They aren’t rooting out extremism. They’re managing it.
They need it. They feed it. Then they aim it like a political gun at anyone who won’t kneel.
Because the threat is real.
And it’s wearing a mask, waving a rainbow flag, holding a Molotov, then blaming you for the violent fallout of the rhetoric they scream through a megaphone: fascist, racist, bigot, threat to democracy. They throw the words like grenades, and pin the explosions on the Right.
