Woodrow Wilson Racism vs. Warren G. Harding and the 200-Year Gaslight

So, this morning I was taking a look at Democrat, Woodrow Wilson, our 28th US President. Between Andrew Jackson, who carried out the brutal, physical ethnic cleansing of Native Americans via the Trail of Tears, and Andrew Johnson who fought tooth and nail to preserve white supremacy immediately after the Civil War, Woodrow Wilson is widely considered the most uniquely damaging because he actively rolled back integrated progress that had already been bought and paid for by the lives of roughly 620,000 American soldiers during the Civil war.  All 3 of these U.S. presidents were Democrats.  I started comparing Wilson to his Republican predecessor, Warren G. Harding.

I was doing a bit of reflection the morning after we celebrated our country’s 250th birthday… So here is another pristine piece of establishment history completely inverted by the very people who built the original machine. Let’s do a little, July 5th, Sunday morning history lesson for the folks who still think the party of the donkey is the vanguard of racial enlightenment. Grab your popcorn, because the receipts are loud, and they smell entirely like projection.

DID YOU KNOW?

Before the modern corporate media began operating as a full-time PR firm for the left, the institutional blueprint of the Democratic Party was centered on a single, unshakeable directive: keeping Black Americans entirely under the boot.

Enter the Grand Poobah of progressive academia, Woodrow Wilson. A Democrat so blindingly racist he didn’t just tolerate Jim Crow; he imported it directly into the federal government. The moment Wilson took the keys to the White House from the Republicans, he looked at an integrated federal workforce; a rare avenue of upward mobility that Black Americans had clawed out since the Civil War, and decided it was time to re-segregate it. We are talking physical cages and wooden screens installed in the Treasury and Post Office departments so white clerks wouldn’t have to suffer the indignity of looking at their Black colleagues.

Seriously, he did this! When civil rights leader William Monroe Trotter walked into the Oval Office to call him out on this regression, Wilson didn’t debate him; he had him thrown out for being “insulting.” This is the same Wilson who turned the White House into a private movie theater to host the premiere of The Birth of a Nation—a literal recruitment film for the Ku Klux Klan—proclaiming it was “like writing history with lightning.”

And Dems screamed that hosting an MMA fight at the White House was degrading the “sanctity of the office.”  Ok, I digress…Back on topic.

Then came Warren G. Harding. The Republican who was the absolute antithesis of everything the Wilsonian elite held dear. In 1921, Harding walked right into Birmingham, Alabama, the belly of the segregationist beast, and stood before a deeply divided, heavily segregated crowd. He didn’t read from a sanitized, politically safe script. He looked that white southern audience dead in the eye and demanded “absolute political and economic equality” for Black Americans. He told them flat out: “Whether you like it or not, our democracy is a lie unless you provide that.” He backed federal anti-lynching legislation. He threatened the entire economic foundation of the Democratic South, and they hated him for that.  How dare this man take away their cheap labor! Sound familiar?

And that is exactly why the Democratic machine hated him with a visceral, burning passion. Harding wasn’t just a political adversary; he was a wrecking ball aimed directly at the financial and electoral structural integrity of the “Solid South.” The Democrats relied entirely on an exploited, disenfranchised Black underclass to maintain their monopoly on power and cheap labor. When they realized they couldn’t beat Harding on the data or the economy, they did what the machine always does when its grip slips: they went into the gutter. They funded a massive, weaponized smear campaign trying to track down Harding’s family tree to prove he had “tainted” Black blood under the era’s draconian one-drop rule, hoping to alienate his white base.

Sound familiar again? It should.

The Democrats’ strategy hasn’t changed; they just swapped out the overt white supremacy hoods for the soft bigotry of low expectations. The raw, structural exclusion of the past has simply morphed into modern affirmative action and corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) mandates. The patronizing undertone remains identical: the quiet assumption that Black Americans cannot compete on raw merit, data, and individual excellence without a specialized, bureaucratized leg-up from the ruling class; the rich, white Democrats.

Look no further than their modern policy talking points, where Democratic elites routinely pass around the explicitly demeaning narrative that Black folks somehow lack the basic capability to find a DMV, obtain a valid government ID to vote, or navigate a computer. It is a staggering display of modern paternalism; treating an entire demographic as if they are uniquely helpless, all to justify rewriting election rules for their own institutional benefit.

The same party that built the physical segregation of the 1920s spent the next century engineering the welfare state, federal housing projects, and economic dependency traps that created the modern, hyper-segregated, violent war zones we see today in South Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, and other predominantly black communities around the country. They spent decades trapping Black families in failing public school monopolies while funding the destruction of the nuclear family from the top down.  Just a fact here, according to the CDC, Black babies make up 41.5 % of all abortions in the US.  And the majority of all abortion clinics are found in low-income, black communities.  Are you figuring it out yet?

But here is the crown jewel of the entire operation: the sheer, unadulterated gaslighting. Today, the Democratic machine looks at the destruction they engineered and has the absolute audacity to scream that it’s the Republicans who are the white supremacists and the racists. It is a psychological projection operation of historic proportions. They repeat the lie over and over, relying on a completely subservient media apparatus to keep the willingly ignorant public blindfolded. You can lie about history to the uninformed, but history doesn’t lie to the observant; it keeps the receipts, and it points directly back to the creators of the canvas.

When modern political commentators analyze these blighted urban centers, they almost always trace the rot back to the Great Society programs of the 1960s, operating under the assumption that this cycle of state-managed dependency is a modern phenomenon. That timeline completely truncates the reality and misses the deepest roots of their racist family tree. The sixty-year mark only counts the post-Civil Rights Act era, where they rebranded the plantation as the public housing project. The actual timeline of ownership stretches all the way back to the inception of the party in the 1820s and 1830s, well before the Civil War.

From the very beginning, the Democratic Party was explicitly engineered as the political arm of the slaveholder class. They were the architects of the Trail of Tears, the defenders of human bondage, and the authors of the Dred Scott decision. When they lost the Civil War, they didn’t disband; they adapted. They built the Ku Klux Klan as their paramilitary wing to terrorize newly freed Black voters, enacted the Black Codes, and institutionalized Jim Crow to replicate the economics of slavery without the legal title.  The Democrats did all of this!

So when Wilson arrived in 1913 to put cages in the federal printing offices, he wasn’t inventing something new; he was merely executing the traditional, century-old core directive of his party.

The strategy has been unbroken for nearly two hundred years:

  1. Define a group by race.
  2. Isolate them legally, socially, or economically.
  3. Exploit them for institutional power—whether that meant counting them as three-fifths of a person to boost Southern electoral votes in 1840, or packing them into dependency-trapped urban voting blocs today.

The creators of the canvas change every few generations to match whatever hue of cultural anxieties they have created, but the deep base of the skilled artists behind it remains completely saturated.

So, let’s drop the curtain on the grand performance. The modern progressive establishment loves to posture as the high-minded curator of the American conscience, but the gallery they are running is filled entirely with forged history. They want you to believe their legacy began with the idealized rhetoric of the civil rights era, completely memory-holing the two-century-old trail of institutional racism, created by their own hand.

They have spent decades slinging fresh coats of moral righteousness over the rot, desperately hoping nobody notices the unmistakable contour of the original framework underneath. But the paint is running thin. You cannot spend two hundred years mastering the craft of human division, engineering dependency traps, and treating Black excellence as an impossibility without a specialized government permit, and then turn around and claim you are the cure. They aren’t fighting racism; they are protecting their monopoly on it. They didn’t abandon the canvas—they just learned how to sell it as art.
